A Passion For Marketing and Events
Where Communication, Creativity, Languages & Culture Come Together
Multilingual communications, marketing, and program professional with 10+ years of experience turning ideas into meaningful experiences—through content, events, education, and cross-cultural communication.
My career has taken me across industries, countries, and disciplines, but one thing has remained constant: a fascination with how people communicate, connect, and engage with the world around them.
Educate & Innovate
My Story
I have always been fascinated by language. Growing up in a multicultural community in Northern California's Bay Area, I rarely went a day without hearing at least three languages spoken around me.
I was fortunate to grow up with two of the world's most widely spoken languages, English and Spanish, while Vietnamese, Tagalog, Punjabi, and many others were part of the linguistic landscape around me. I may have only picked up a few words and expressions from some of them, but those small encounters opened the door to what would become a lifelong fascination with linguistics and cross-cultural communication.
One memory in particular has always stayed with me. I once asked my friend Jennifer to teach me how to say "I love you" in Vietnamese. She explained that the expression could change depending on who was speaking and who was listening. I was fascinated. It was one of the first times I consciously realized that languages don't simply use different words—they can organize relationships, ideas, and experiences differently.
Over time, I began making those same kinds of comparisons between English and Spanish, then Spanish and Portuguese, English and French, and eventually any new language that crossed my path. I fell in love with discovering the differences, similarities, and cultural nuances behind the ways people communicate.
That curiosity ultimately became the foundation for a career that has taken me from classrooms and linguistics to technology, community management, marketing, events, communications, and program operations.
My Mission
Today, I hold a Master's degree in Language Sciences with a concentration in Sociolinguistics, and I have had the opportunity to build a career at the intersection of communication, culture, creativity, and strategy.
My professional experience has spanned public and private education, technology startups, healthcare marketing, community management, localization, events, and legal compliance programs. Along the way, I've worked with international teams, developed marketing campaigns, managed events and educational programs, created multilingual content, supported growing brands, and helped organizations communicate more effectively with the people they serve.
What connects these experiences is my interest in people. Whether I'm developing a campaign, planning an event, improving a customer journey, translating content, or creating an educational experience, I want to understand the audience first.
My mission is simple: use communication thoughtfully to make information clearer, experiences better, and connections stronger.
My Journey
California → Spain → France → California
Born and raised in California, I also spent portions of my childhood in Louisiana, Puerto Rico, and Ohio—experiences that helped shape my early curiosity about language, culture, and regional differences.
2006 | San José, California
I began my bachelor's studies at San José State University, focusing on Spanish and Linguistics.
2009 | Granada, Spain
I spent an academic year studying abroad at the Universidad de Granada, deepening both my Spanish fluency and my understanding of Spanish culture.
2011–2013 | Madrid, Spain
After participating in a month-long Linguistic Society of America program focused on areas including language contact, code-switching, syntax, and language learning, I moved to Madrid and began working in education as an English language teacher.
2013–2015 | Paris Region, France
I continued my teaching career in France before transitioning into the private sector. I joined BlaBlaCar during an exciting period of international expansion, working across member relations, community management, multilingual content, and website localization as the company expanded into Latin American markets. This experience also introduced me to the world of digital marketing and international brand communication.
2015–2020 | Paris, France
I pursued my Master's in Language Sciences at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3, choosing a professionally focused program that allowed me to combine linguistics with my growing interest in marketing and communications. I completed marketing internships and wrote my thesis on the marketing of foreign languages.
During my years in Paris, I continued building experience across education, digital marketing, community management, content development, and events—including work that allowed me to combine my background in linguistics with creative strategy and audience engagement.
2020–Present | California
In 2020, I returned home to California and continued expanding my career across marketing, events, communications, translation, and program operations.
Since returning, I've contributed to projects and organizations across agriculture, technology, healthcare marketing, and legal compliance. My work has ranged from managing corporate events and developing marketing campaigns to creating multilingual content, improving operational processes, supporting educational programs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Today, I continue to bring together the different pieces of my background—communication, culture, marketing, events, education, and strategy—to help organizations create experiences that connect with people.
